減肥、纖腰、造就永久性深層呼吸、使血壓、膽固醇、三脂甘油度數回復正常

11th June, 2008

Dear Master Hui,

As I complete the Foundation Course of “Hua Shan”, I wish to express my heart-felt gratitude for your professional tuition, and to report on my own humble experience with the program.

I attended the course from 15th October, 2007 – 2nd June, 2008 (approximately 8 months). During this period, I generally practiced for about 30 minutes daily during weekdays, and about an hour on weekends (practicing all the postures learnt); plus, of course, during lessons.

For various reasons (the biggest ones being complacency and laziness!), I have not exercised for decades.  Although I have been a rather strict vegetarian for over 10 years (which incidentally was observed not for health reasons), I had still put on weight, and had minor health problems such as with my blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels. I had simply thought that perhaps this was inevitable, since I am in my mid 50’s.

I had had a physical examination about a year ago, and happened to have done another one about a month ago; and between the two tests, I have

u        Reduced my weight by about 8 lbs;

u        Reduced my waistline by about 4 inches (from 40 to 36”);

u        Reduced my triglyceride and cholesterol (which were above par) to normal levels;

u        Reduced my blood pressure (which was high at around 150/120 to a much more acceptable level of around 130/90) without medication.

All these can be largely attributed to “Hua Shan”, since during this period I have not had any other forms of exercise.  I am confident with continued practice, my health will further improve – I intend to see a further reduction in waistline by another 2 - 4 inches!  What is more, I now feel a much smoother “Chi” and metabolism, with better (deeper) breathing.

My experience of “Hua Shan” so far is that it is a very comprehensive, balanced, convenient and effective form of intensive exercise, which yields surprisingly results in a relatively short time.  I further believe that what I have learnt is simply the introduction; and that there will be more profound practice, both active (a la what has been learnt so far), and passive (meditative practice), and deeper meanings in the quest for truth in the Taoist “Way”. I look forward to attending the Intermediate Course when available, karma permitting.

I shall be happy to personally attest to the program to whoever may be interested, and to help promote it, so that more people can benefit in future. Once again, thank you so much!

Yours respectfully,
